“The water’s quite warm.”

That’s Loki’s voice, a tremor in the morning air. Thor watches him in the tub, his skin bone white and soaked, hair dripping. There’s something about Loki when he’s wet that makes him look even more dangerous, and Thor thinks it might have something to do with the way the water rolls over his body like it’s being repelled.

“What are you doing, brother,” Thor asks.

He swallows and doesn’t know where to look. Loki’s eyes are too open and feral, beckoning him. The rest of him is naked in the bathwater, knees exposed and spread out of the water. The word that comes to Thor’s mind is delicious.

“Bathing,” Loki says. “Would you like to join me?”

Thor glances at the door. It’s closed, though he supposes that doesn’t matter much anyway – everyone’s out still, picking up breakfast.

Without waiting for an answer, Loki says, “Undress.”

Thor’s groin tightens, a little shock travels up his spine and his face goes hot.

“Jane and the others will be back soon,” he starts.

“Undress,” Loki says, and it’s not a request.

It’s not like Thor was going to say no, not to Loki, never to Loki. He strips off his shirt and jeans and lets them pool at his ankles before stepping out. Loki’s watching him, watching the lines and muscles of his body. Thor’s already hard when he climbs into the tub, right into the space between Loki’s spread legs.

Loki likes hot water, and it nearly burns Thor’s skin, but when Loki cups Thor’s face, his hands are cool.

“Brother,” he says.

He scoots forward and the water ripples around them, sloshing over the side of the tub as Loki wraps his legs around Thor’s waist.

Thor grins for the first time, defeated. He doesn’t mind.

“You are absolutely insatiable, Loki,” he says. “If they come back and find us-“

Loki bites Thor’s jaw to silence him, runs his tongue over the stubble of his beard.

“I would let them watch,” Loki says.

Thor can’t stop the shiver that comes, he doesn’t try much to.

“You would like that, wouldn’t you?” Loki touches the taut skin of Thor’s abdomen. “If they watched you taking me, trying to make me beg.”

His hand goes lower but not low enough, and Thor shifts his hips forward a bit to encourage him. These are the only times he lets Loki take control, to direct Thor where he needs and wants him. Loki moves until he’s completely in Thor’s lap, their water slick skin coming together.

“Loki,” Thor says. “Brother, please.”

“Please, what?”

“Let me-” Thor bucks up and Loki already feels ready for him, open and loose. “Brother what have-“

“I was waiting for you,” Loki says. He’s got his arms around Thor now, nails pressed into his skin until it stings, until he’s practically drawn blood. “While you were talking with that woman.”

He won’t even say her name, but Thor knows exactly who he’s talking about. Jane, innocent, mortal Jane, with her kind smile and wide eyes. Thor knows Loki would sooner snap her neck than let Thor near her again.

“We were only speaking of the bridge-“

“I’ve been fingering myself for the past twenty minutes, waiting for you to come up.”

Loki says it like an observation, a passing comment, but it goes straight to Thor’s groin and makes him feel guilty, like he’s done something wrong and should apologize. This is what Loki does to him.

“I did not mean to keep you waiting,” Thor says, and then they’re kissing in a way that makes it hard to breathe at all. Thor’s nearly inside of Loki now, gripping his shoulders to push him down onto him, like an apology. Like a promise.

“I will be the only one,” Loki says.

His voice sounds tight and upset, but Thor can’t see his face because he buries it in Thor’s neck. Loki doesn’t make another sound besides his heavy breathing, the small whine from the back of throat when Thor is all the way inside of him.

“Yes,” Thor says. “Yes.”

And it’s a promise he wants to keep.
